Genetics

Genetics is the study of heredity and the role of genes in the development of characteristics in organisms. Medical genetics focuses on the diagnosis, treatment options, and assessment of heredity of genetic diseases. Genetics also plays an important role in fertility research and prenatal diagnosis.
